You need to incorporate some yard equipment.

Maybe do a lawnmower/weed eating/sweeping circuit where your wife does all those things while you sip on an IPA.

Time her. Map out her progress.

push to row with the dumbells
dumbbell cleans (jerk too)
dumbbell snatchs
thrusters with dumbbell
dumbbell rows

can of course work dumbells in with squats, lunges, situps etc

jump squats
step ups on the bench

a jump rope and a kettlebell can go a long way, too. KB swings and jump rope are good for getting the heart rate up. could add some band workouts too

You guys should do insanity, it's entirely based on body weight. My wife and I do it all the time, have had it since 2012 and love it.

Check out buff dudes DIY on youtube and build a set of parallel dip bars. They can be a real asset. I think making a pullup bar would be a real asset too. You can also build a 3 in 1 plyo box for jumps and weighted step ups. Dumbell lungewalks, step ups, and one legged squats will hit your arse hard if youre not used to it, even for seasoned lifters.

You could do a routine where you lift 3 days a wk- increasing the dumbbell weight by 5 lbs a wk
Mon-
Dumbbell step ups - 5 sets
Dumbell lungewalks- 5 sets
Bent over dumbell rows- 5 sets
Dumbbell Shoulder Flys- 5 sets

Wed-
Dumbell powercleans into overhead press- (like a thruster from a deadlift start)- 5 sets
Dumbell overhead press- 5 sets
Pushups to failure- 3 sets
Pullups to failure - 3 sets

Fri-
One legged squats-
Jump squats or plyo jumps-
Dips- failure
As a circuit for 5 sets

Download the "sworkit" app. It was on shark tank last week. I've been doing it since Monday and I like it so far. I haven't paid for the premium version yet though, thinking I may do that eventually because that allows more customization.

YouTube review of the app

thanks for the tips guys

I went home and created 5 circuits and put them on a white board and hung in the garage

the plan is to pick 3 circuits and keep rotating them

we might add some more later

we did 3 last night with no breaks and it was a really nice 15 minute workout
