I guess, but that's one that you really need your ducks in a row on.

I get the feeling this will be one of the costliest hurricanes in U.S. history.

So there are 2 problem dams Lake Lure and Waterview aka Walter’s they are on the NC side but breaks would flow into TN. No idea why NC has two names for the same dam.

Basically ETN/WNC have big problems with amount of rain we’ve had and there’s nowhere for it to go. And we will see even more water before all is said and done.

Having been through a flood before I can safely say this won’t help.

The thing is Newport will flood from this even if the dams don’t break.

Yeah, I don't think they understand how hydrology works... sad picture nonetheless.

I follow the Highlander House on Instagram. They’ve posted all roads in and out are closed because of trees or water. They have no power and are somewhere in town that has Wi-Fi so they can post/get internet. They did say they hoped they could reopen tomorrow afternoon.

I'm in Memphis suburb - zero damage or wind or flooding near me - but it has been raining non stop since 6 a.m. and hasn't moved, not even sure if associated with the hurricane

You seem to know a good amount about the water flow around east tn. Any idea how this will affect the fort loudon waterways? I live about 3 miles from the dam and I know we got probably 6 or 7 inches of rain so it has risen quite a bit but there hasn't been much talk about around the knoxville area except for wears valley and pigeon forge rds.
