I’m legit sick to my stomach with this. Where the hell do you even start to begin dealing with this? You gotta live somewhere. You gotta work somewhere. Kids have to go to school somewhere. You gotta get food somewhere. I want to throw up for these people.

The only way to get through this in the beginning is one day at a time. Get your tasks done today that have to get done today.

I remember just going into the house and hauling shite to the road after Katrina. It was the immediate thing that had to be done.

In that case, the reports of the complete failure were wrong, thankfully. I shared a tweet from the NWS Morristown saying it was no longer at threat of failing.

Morristown is protected by topography, but Hamblin County's southeastern side may get the flood .
Four different groups worked together to provide helicopters to evacuate the folks at Erwin Hospital and

They are saying Duke Power is claiming it’s no longer in danger of failure. IDK how that changed but I hope it stays that way.

Cajuns and Appalachians? I’m pretty sure that’s the stuff of nightmares for half the country. But an outstanding way to get drunk and eat well.

Apparently, TN state rep Jeremy Faison was the first to tweet about the dam failure. That's what lead to the Flash Flood Emergency with a catastrophic tag that urged people below the dam to evacuate immediately. That turned out to be bad info and he seems to have deleted the tweet.
