That’s horrific! The good people of the south always receive the worst natural disasters out of the whole nation.

Holy Hell!
Erwin has to be wiped out. Glad they were able to get to the roof.

I just saw a post from the meteorologist that he spoke with them this morning and they came out fine. The wobble to the East saved them.
That’s what I thought was going to happen. They’d luck out by their own stupidity on the offshore side of the circulation.

Coverage of evacuating the hospital
It didn't help that the waters rose so fast that the ambulances couldn't get to the hospital.

We have reached the point of the hurricane thread where 1. People shite on the NHC for missing the track by 30 miles 2. People pretend it wasn’t that strong a storm because a few readings outside the eyewall had TS winds 3. Someone 300 miles inland claims it was a nothingburger
Idk if it's from having kids and being more busy in life generally or bc of this bs but I used to participate in these hurricane threads fairly often and enjoyed them
Nowadays I just don't hardly, still in the Nader threads though

FEMA's Fllod Insurance Program will likely end up bankrupt over these flooding events.

Damn, Tide, that area was on the news last year, with many putting their homes up for sale after insurance increased around 10 times. A lot of geriatrics, septuagenarians, and octogenarians.
