Yeah, I think instead of a middling 3, this is likely to strike as a strong 3/weak 4 unless some catalyst for change (like that last minute puff of cold, polar air for Katrina) hits before landfall.

Not sure but the temp is -80 C.

Maybe Duke, Legend would know. My somewhat educated guess would be 55-60K feet??
