One of the images from the coast that has stuck with me all these years is a Waffle House in front of the mall in Biloxi...literally all that was left was the counter stools. Everything else was just bare concrete.

And they were still serving a limited menu.

Talk about a dry slot!!! That would be the entire Florida peninsula. Wow! Hardly a drop anywhere. (Aside from a narrow band down near Lake Okeechobee). Pretty darn surprising at this point!

958.3 mb extrapolated from recon plane. 10 AM advisory was 960. Not sure if the 958 will be official at 1. We'll see what NHC says.

This is one of the largest roads in Tampa. Completely underwater. 7 foot swells. And the storm is not here yet…

Bayshore Blvd floods all the time. The whole Bay Area is like a washtub. Shallow water and relatively long fetch.

That was taken well after the hurricane clean up. Look around, BSL looked like a bomb went off for several months after.

The models are still pretty stubborn with landfall at Alligator Point and then right up Monroe St in Tallahassee. Curious if it spits off to the east, or if there’s enough english to hook into that pocket.
