She’s definitely loopy. We both misgendered it btw.

Remind me the name of your group again?
One of my family members is part of a church north of Pensacola that has an affiliation with several other groups. They go in after disasters and cut downed trees and help people clean their houses and such

While waiting for hurricane, Edmond OK had some massive hail last night and it made tons of divots at a golf course. Didn’t want to start new thread since weather related

Rose Creek Golf Course has members out hand repairing divots following hail storm in NW OKC/Edmond Tuesday night. Love the hustle. Actually have been told it’s going well.

I'm starting to get a feeling this will be worse than Opal.

I have the same feeling. Just started raining here in northern suburbs and not expected to stop until midday Friday. With the winds from Helene, I think it’s going to be worse unfortunately. These saturated grounds with 10inches of rain and then 50-60mph sustained winds (higher gusts) is going to do some serious damage to the trees around here. Praying it doesn’t and it speeds up. Stay safe all

My brother's in-laws live in Mexico Beach. They retired there. They've been wiped out once and it's not looking good for them this week.

That little bit of a dry slot may be one of our few hopes to keep Helene from reaching its ceiling.

that would be 10 hours or less from landfall to the Atlanta area longitude.

That tracks. Models show landfall around 7pm Thursday and already past ATL by 7am Friday.

I think theyll be mostly fine unless the storm track shifts west any further.

As long as the storm goes east of the cape the worst of the storm surge should stay over there.

Plus most of the homes in MB have been rebuilt or upgraded post Michael to handle cat 4 winds.

Personally I wouldnt ride it out there but this isnt a direct Michael hit situation just yet.

Unfortunately one day since they love showing the Graf people are gonna get hurt or worse because either they over prepared good or did nothing because it showed it way different from other models or the cone.

I have a buddy that lives about 40-45 miles N of there, in the woods. He doesn't have electric and TV. I texted him to let him know the eye is crossing his house. No answer back yet.

The disaster response group I mentioned is planning to set up base camp in Tallahassee at the WildWood Presbytery church.

Many local outlets (and their parent companies) are heavily invested financially in the "in house" model. They pay for its use. I wouldn't be surprised that there is pressure from above to highlight/favor it.
