None, which is what they want. They want government run socialized medicine.

They must not know any Canadians.

ERs would cease to exist due to the government mandate that they treat regardless of ability to pay. Another example of government solutions to government problems.

Maybe you should start a Health insurance company with your own money since profits are not anything you are interested in.

I doubt I'd be good at it. May even forgo a private jet flight to my seventh vacation home in the French Riviera to cover an old lady who just needs another week of rehab to be able to return her own home instead end up in a nursing home.

There's a financial bottom line that will hit healthcare providers if demand doesn't keep up with the prices they have. If everyone is unable to pay due to high prices, prices tend to come down.

True but EVERYONE wouldn’t be unable to pay. Which is why prices would come down but still be unaffordable to the average person. So people would either finance it or go without care. Braces, for example, aren’t typically covered by dental insurance. Most people can’t pay cash. And have to finance or go without. Cosmetic surgery is another perfect example.

Good. We can give the Ukraine 500B, but won't address insane Healthcare profits.

Insurance companies are helping keep medical costs lower for all. If everything billed gets paid it would go up in cost and no one would be able to afford it.

If insurance companies go away, and government takes over, then you get what UK has, which is free access to medical diagnosis services, and a long waiting que for actual medical services.

you cant have both cheap costs, quick service, quality service.....

just like construction process..... quick, cheap, quality....pick 2 of 3....

HI and WA are going to see higher deductible, higher max out of pockets and higher insurance rates.....the companies will still make a profit or they will leave the state

and if you cap the profit margins, then investors will pull they money and invest where the risk/reward is better......

Awesome idea. Medical insurance for high risk people about to be dropped by carriers.

We need government to manage all our businesses...you know, Communism.

And that’s the problem. Medical care should be affordable and no reasonable claim denied. If a doc or therapist says a patients needs it, the insurer should cover it. Gov should focus on forcing Pharma to drop costs and be held accountable for what they produce.

That’s the first thing that came to my mind. Quite a deterrent, huh?

Why does govt have to take over?

Why can't people just pay out of pocket for services they receive?

Yes. It would only be a matter of how long it takes them.

If they do, will the health care prices decline to where people can afford them?

The root cause of all of this bullshite is the exorbitant prices that hospitals are charging, not necessarily the premiums that insurance agencies are charging
