We had friends (Navy Retired) who lived in the yacht club harbor in Kaneohe. They were both surgical nurses at Queen's Medical Center Hospital in Honolulu We flew out to visit them, back in 1985. We asked if they wanted us to bring anything and the wife said "a case of Raisin Bran". It was some ungodly high price at he PX where they shopped most of the time. Even back then it was bad expensive. Still nice though. Our son's slept on their 24 foot sailboat, while the wife and I used the spare bedroom in the condo they rented at that time.

I never get on a plane without two Quest bars and a bag of beef jerky.

Who could've guessed Hawaii and airports were expensive so a Hawaiian airport must be really expensive?

Seems on par with most bars in an airport.

I dunno man. I had a Sam Adams at DFW a few months ago, and it was like 8 bucks. These prices he paid are fricking stupid.

Most dinners at Hawaiian mid level restaurants and above regardless of which island can easily run that after 2 drinks, salad, dinner. I've had several over $100 for just me. LGB!

Ive grown go love Midway. Last 2 times through I've used their yoga room to stretch and take a nap. You can turn down the thermostat to 66 degrees which is so nice. Last time I took a nap between flights. Nobody came in either time. Plenty of outlets too.

Guy is in Hawaii with some of the best, freshest seafood you will find anywhere. And he is eating burgers with a Modelo in the airport .. guess he didn't have time to eat before his flight

Let alone the plethora of fantastic Asian places.

When I'm in Oahu for work, the per diem is 157 a day. Some really good eating there.

I 1986 I was in Hawaii as a teen. A quarter pounder meal was like 8 bucks. It was 3 or 4 here. It has always been as exiensive as hell there
