hell yeah, and it made me feel great afterwards because i felt a little bit of regret for not staying longer to see it through. This was as IT at a credit union...new CIO came in from silicon valley area and we were in lower alabama area...he was culture shocked and always used to being on bleeding edge.

My current position. My boss is incompetent and only remains in his position due to his incoming retirement next year. Luckily I've been working from home for the past three months now, but I'm so unhappy with the position I'm considering calling it quits when we all return to the office in two weeks.

Yes. My last gig. Startup company with a lot of promise, but way too many terrible sales people that blamed their issues on everyone else. I bailed, and the company is now close to going under.

Current job. Been here two years.

I’ve constantly had more responsibility put on me after two people retired over the new year and anytime I frick something up everyone acts like I’ve been doing these tasks for 50 years and should know better. I’ve had hardly any training on these extra responsibilities and I’m doing my best to keep up with the work, but something as simple as not following up a meeting with a customer 24 hours afterwards because I’m too busy trying trying to figure out this accounting software I’ve never used and I’m berated in person or in email.

We were deemed essential and so I didn’t miss a day of work during the whole Wuhan shite. Was constantly at job sites and around laborers and others without any clue of how at risk I, or anyone else was.

Worst part is that I was told my salary would increase a good amount come my review in June due to the people who retired not being replaced. Time comes and I ask about and my boss acts like I just asked to have a threesome with his wife and daughter because we’re down like 9% compared to last year.

I’ll likely be looking elsewhere here soon enough.

Yes. I worked overnights at a medium market radio station back in the 90's (ie: the only time slot not rated). The PD and APD (Program Director and Assistant Program Director), who had also been the morning show, left and the General Manager took over the station.

He changed the format from Rock 40 (top 40 with a rock slant) to a CHURban (basically top 40 with a heavy urban slant) and brought in a syndicated morning show: John Boy & Billy (far more of a classic rock, NASCAR, redneck appeal). He also engaged in payola (an illegal activity, basically allowing a record rep to tell us what to play so we were playing utter shite at times) and so the ratings plunged hard.

During this time he screwed with the clock (the timing of what sort of song plays when, when commercial breaks happen and for how long, etc) 3 times within a week (in my 5 years of radio I hadn't seen a clock changed but one other time) and they changed the name of the station.

So ratings were falling like a rock and the owners were looking at him like the moron he was so he sacrificed me, saying that it was my fault the ratings were so bad because I wasn't staging the music switch (during the 5am hour) well enough. The owners were weak negotiators who really only owned the station so they could say they owned a radio station so they bought it and allowed him to fire me.

Later I found out he had also tried to pin another issue on me. It seems a local car dealership's new commercial didn't start it's new run, it didn't run the entire day. The dealership was angry and he was furious (rightly so) and he blamed me because he swore he had given it to me to do. Luckily the afternoon guy happened by when he was ranting about me and realized the HE was the one who had been assigned the commercial and that he had done it. He went down to the General Sales Manager's desk (the General Manager's wife, not coincidentally) and there it was. Why was it on her desk? Because part of the notes said that to leave it on her desk when it was done so she could play it for the client before it aired and she would bring it to the booth afterwards.

She had never even played it for the client, but since it was found to be in no way my fault the issue suddenly became one of those things that just "fell through the cracks".

I found out later he had been found by the IRS to have lied on his taxes to the tune of ~$40k. It made me smile.

Yes, happens every day at work. My night shift manager blames me every time a customer has a complaint about their food or if the restrooms are dirty. I cant make the burgers, fry the fries and clean the bathrooms all at the same time
