I didn't say it had a significant impact on me. I posted what I've seen personally as the thread title asks. Why so worked up?

Here we go again. This is another symptom of state republicans being absolutely worthless and doing nothing to combat this. What could be done?

Easy. A state could enact a non-discrimination law that bans quotas, "diversity programs", or any employment decisions which take race or sex into account. This would immediately stop all woke programs. Then, in the event a plaintiff is successful, that plaintiff would be entitled to treble damages.

The law could even include examples of discrimination, for example, promoting a member of one race when a member of another race had objectively superior qualifications.

Yet, from what I have seen, Florida is the only state that has tried to do something about this. These other state GOPs have done absolutely nothing. Why is this?

I learn about all the “woke” stuff from this website. Never encountered it in real life.

We left a church because of wokeness (well, because the influence was causing the church to stray). It wasn't anything overtly trans/CRT, but it was beginning to interfere with the church's ability to boldly tell the truth, and that was a problem.

Similar story happened to me in summer 2016. I had just moved to Baton Rouge after being discharged from the Army and was on the hunt using Tinder. Come across this girl: Teach for America alum, LSU Operations Director for one of their academic programs. Pretty blue eyes, fair skin. My type.

Anyway, we're at The Bulldog having a good time. She brings up politics and I flat out say I'm a Trump guy. She starts arguing with me and I tell her I'm not here for this shite. I pay for MY drinks and roll the frick out.
