I haven’t given up on life, but I’m a lot less motivated than I used to be. I think it’s age and realizing your childhood dreams will never come true.
Working out for example. I used to count every calorie and plan every workout. Now I half arse eat good and just go through the motions. I’m softer than I used do be but I’m 41. It’s not like I need to try and be Ronnie Coleman or anything.
Golf is the same. I used to practice a lot and stress out trying to lower my scores. Now I just go play. If I shoot a 78 great....if i shoot a 98....oh well. It’s not like I’m ever going to be Jordan Speith.
