I got one from fricking JAMAICA about winning publisher's clearinghouse. I went along for a minute or two until I started getting irate and started shite-talking them for preying on old folks.

"Does it make you feel good to take advantage of some poor geriatric you piece of shite?"
"Are you sure you don't want the prize?"

I like to keep them on the line a while and frick with them. Just agree with everything they say and before they close just act stupid and tell them you don’t want to do anything about it because you’re rich and believe in sharing or something and wait for them to go on a diatribe about the dangers of your ssn in the hands of others. That’ll lead to more shite you can frick with them about. I enjoy doing this.

I too enjoy fricking with them.

Last one I went through it and gave him a made up SSN and then he asked my birthday and when I told him the made up birthday he called me a liar. I was like what the hell are you talking about. And he tells me my SSN tells him I was born in 1960, not 1944 like I told him. Then he started cursing at me and telling me he would send an agent to my house. That’s when I finally had to break character and told him to bring his curry arse himself to my house since he’s an officer of the law and I’d be more than happy to send him to hell. He cursed at me some more, I threatened him some more, it was a good day.

Wrong. I never answer a number that doesn't exist in my contacts. If they leave a message I will follow up. If not, I block and delete.

Well you probably need to answer it and tell them all of your personal information.

This sounds important. So make sure you have your checking and routing numbers handy.

You folks are chasing your tails with this blocked number stuff. The scammers use blocks of Skype (or other free/cheap VOIP numbers), in a specific area code and call every number in that area code using those blocks of numbers. Their research proves folks are much more likely to answer a number in their own area code. Hell, I know the scams exactly and I answer a pretty decent number of these. I've taken to saying, "Sorry, we're not taking call center calls today.", and hang up.

If you subscribe to various whitelists that can cut down on those calls.

Or use Google's call screening service if you have a Pixel. I do that and I love it when their robot doesn't want to talk to my robot.

Honestly this is how I got them to stop calling.

I kept insisting I lived at an address that didnt exist and my SSN ended in 1234.

When they kept asking if my address was correct I did my best to hold my laughter. Eventually they got really pissed and threatened to come to America and "frick me in the arse".

When I asked how long he has been gay he hung up.
Havent gotten a phone call since.
