In the words of a Gen Z Gamer kid: The entire Crow Family is OP'd in the realm of birds. They need to be Nerf'd in the next update.

For fairness sake.

There was one at ccla that would steal food and random things out of your cart when you reached the green. It would wait for you to park and then walk up to putt before swooping in. I’ve never successfully became a crow bro though I want to. The zoo has a bunch that chill on the parking lot.

Same thing happens at the City Park north course. 2 crows hang out by the 1st green and just steal shite out of your cart when you go to putt. Had to chase down my bag of weed from them once

No but my uncle rescued an injured one and nursed it back to health when I was a kid. That bird learned to mimic several words and later, after it was released would fly into the yard when called by name.

Amazing animals.

Collective nouns for a group of ravens include a "conspiracy", a "treachery", a "rave" and an "unkindness".

Those sound like descriptive terms for some of our SEC rivals.

Retired friend of mine has taken up a relationship with a crow in the past few months, calls him Edgar Allen Crow. In that time the crow went from hanging out under his carport to actually responding to calls to eat and to come visit. You'd swear it's having a conversation with you.

It was an old wive’s tale that you could clip or split a crow’s tongue and that it would speak, like a parrot. Crows and ravens have never needed this, as certain individuals have the natural ability to mimic a human’s voice all on their own.

quote:

Crows and other birds in the corvid family, like ravens, can mimic human speech, but this ability is not related to their tongue structure. The vocalizations of crows originate from their throats, specifically from an organ called the syrinx, not the tongue.

My parents have had a couple condos in Eagle County, Co., so we spent a significant amount of time growing up there and the magpies and mountain jays are off the charts intelligent. The resident magpies in the Village of Vail are treated like celebrities and they know it.

In many places, it’s illegal to keep crows as pets. People were teaching crows to steal money for rewards.
