I’m in the haunted house capital (Ohio) and have a lot near me. Went to blood prison a few days ago (where Shawshank was filmed.) They let you do touch passes
Went to trail of nightmares the week before.
Hoping to do another one this weekend

Any plans on hitting any up this season?

Growing up, there was always a rumor of a haunted house that was so scary, if you made it all the way through, they paid you $100.

Of course, no one who talked about it had ever been there, and could never tell you where it was located. It was always their older brother or cousin who went there and said how scary it was.

I only ever went to Chinchuba on the Wank in new orleans growing up. That was more than enough for me. Not a fan of haunted houses

House of Shock used to be pretty good in the 90s.

Not sure how it is now.

I used to always love Sheriff Fotti's Haunted House in City Park.

My cousins own an old plantation house near Opelousas and they've talked about having some strange experiences, hearing voices, etc. I've stayed there a few times and nada but old house sounds.

Virginia City, NV has some cool old saloons / brothels from the silver rush era that were creepy as hell.

House of shock 2000-2010 had a very erie demonic, devil worshipping narrator on the balcony of the entrance. The shite he would say was really fricked up while you were moving along in the line. Employees would walk around and sell alcohol to the people waiting in line...pretty fun... The inside was totally fricked up and scary. People mostly women would cry and try to leave but had no way out

I dont live in Louisiana anymore so im not sure this place is open anymore.

This is the last one I went to with my girls when they were teens. It was pretty good. The Red Cross bus to cut the line if you give blood was a nice touch.

Sloss Furnace in Birmingham used to be so much fun. It wasn’t the scariest per se but having a haunted house where so much death had actually happened made it so creepy.

ETA: 47 deaths from 1882 to 1971

This one will pay you $20,000 if you make it through.

quote:

McKamey Manor describes itself as "an extreme haunted experience" where guests are promised the most terrifying and mentally exhausting 10+ hours of their lives.

There have been petitions published calling it "a torture chamber under disguise." One petition published in 2019 received nearly 200,000 signatures.

quote:

Russ McKamey owns and operates multiple locations of the extreme haunted house in Summertown, Tennessee, and Huntsville, Alabama, where he requires visitors to fulfill a long list of requirements, including a 40-page waiver and the completion of a physical exam.

quote:

"Previously no safe word was allowed, he changed that but there’s been reports that the torture continues even when people repeat their safe word for several minutes," the petition reads.

One man was allegedly "tortured" so badly, it wasn’t until the workers thought they had "killed" him that they finally decided to stop.

quote:

One Reddit user wrote that the reason McKamey doesn’t accept any money is because "he only desires the footage of what he puts his ‘customers’ through. His payment is having footage of people crying, throwing up, having mental breakdowns and begging for him to let them go."

The user added that McKamey has admitted to exclusively employing people with "touchy pasts" including some with felonies for violent behavior, claiming that the employees gain some form of gratification out of harming people.

Another user leaked a portion of the alleged waiver that apparently says that visitors risk "death, stroke, traumatic brain injury," and dozens of other injuries on the tour.

So far, McKamey says no one has completed the tour, even though he promises to pay $20,000 to anyone who can sit through roughly 10 hours of this real-life nightmare.

quote:

The San Diego Union-Tribune reported that in 2017, Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies in Tennessee responded to a screaming woman being dragged by two men from a car into the newly established McKamey Manor.

The deputies quickly learned that the abduction was staged, but incidents like these have made the local community uncomfortable, and authorities have been working to shut down the operation ever since.

While the website for the tour claims that only people who pass an extensive medical background test are permitted, "10 minutes of getting duct tape wrapped around your head, forced to eat things, be waterboarded & forced underwater," is something writers of the petition allege cross a line.

Netherworld in Atlanta is supposed to be one of the best..

There used to be on in Toronto that had a room where it looked like you were about to be hit by a speeding car. They would post people's reactions to a YouTube channel.

I actually want to go to Haunted House more than I want to go to Club Aqua.
