Interesting since one of these is a shite-stirrer and one is a shite-clearer...

I'd rather have a plumber live beside me, share a beer with a plumber or have my daughter marry a plumber.

THOUSANDS of plumbers will always have work.

It would be great karma if she did apply for a barista job and they denied her cause she’s overqualified due to her highly sought after PhD.

What's with the "learn to code" thing? What did I miss?

To put it briefly, leftist elitist media-types were quick to say smartass comments like "learn to code" to coal miners and other blue collar workers that were hit with layoffs due to evil capitalism. Now, the journalists are reaping what they sowed.

Journalism is one of those professions where those involved have an over-inflated sense of self worth that is opposite of what the marketplace tells us. Unfortunately for them, when you think so highly of yourself it comes as a complete shock when the market tells you otherwise.

Is this really where it came from ???

I was enjoying the meme thinking it has manifested randomly in response to her having no real valuable skills. The backstory makes it 10x sweeter.

It is basically a troll where people are giving the same opinions/views that most journalists have been giving to blue collar workers who lost their jobs.

“Times change. If your job skill is obsolete, work hard to fix that. Learn to code.”

Those articles aren't telling people to learn to code. It's showing that people got laid off and tried to find new work.

I'll still laugh at this though.

I'm your average white, suburbanite slob

I got an average house, with a nice hardwood floor
My wife and my job, my kids and my car
My feet on my table, and a Cuban cigar

But sometimes that just ain't enough to keep a man like me interested
(Oh no, no way, uh uh)
No I gotta go out and have fun at someone else's expense

This link is great. It has someone posting shitty articles are posts by these “journalists” next to their “just got fired” tweets.

~1000 “activists” nationwide were fired.

Society may be better off.

Don’t you know self absorbed, lazy snowflake SJW’s are too important and too self centered to get any job other than their activist career.

Most hard working people at paper mill’s will do whatever it take to support their families and work. They aren’t important to SJW’s. Hard working Americans don’t promote or support the leftist snowflake agenda.

Five years, countless LaCroixs, and one insane argument with Rooney Mara's publicist later, my time is up at BuzzFeed. I'll say it again: The people at this company (staying and going) made this place great. It's bee real. To paraphrase Kris Jenner: "I did amazing, sweetie."

Even in the face of being laid off these fricks cannot help but pat themselves on the backs for their "accomplishments". Couldn't have happened to a group of more deserving twats.
