Has anyone ever been to a wedding when someone objected mid-ceremony?

No, but some baw ran out of my wedding in the middle of our ceremony. He was supposed to be at the wedding down the street at the same time.

No, but one of my friends told me she was hoping I would bc she really didn’t want to get married

This was during her divorce 5 years later

And no, I’m not gay, she just knew I didn’t like the guy she was marrying and thought I may say something

It's such a useless gesture most weddings I have been to don't even include it.

No, but I seen the groom almost come to blows with the bride’s Ex boyfriend at the reception. Maybe the ex should have objected. I posted about it a few years back.

Do they even ask for objections anymore? I thought that went away

Weirdest thing...

I was at the wedding of a distant relative in England back in 1994.

Right after the pastor gave that spiel about "speak now or forever hold your peace" the groom's brother spoke up. Actually, he didn't "speak" at all, because he was deaf-- he actually signed and the groom spoke for him. He said he thought the groom was in love with someone else, and when his brother (the groom) admitted he was, the bride-to-be knocked him out with one punch.

It was quite a scene.

No.

I did go to one where the groom’s mom cried the whole time because she hated the bride.

Had a friend, this was in the mid-90s, getting married overseas. No one objected, but an old girlfriend showed up. There wasn’t an issue there, but it obviously screwed him up. During the vows, he accidentally said the old girlfriend’s name instead of the bride’s name.

Anyway, he got married, but it didn’t last. Ultimately, the friend knocked up the old girlfriend and they got together, but it wasn’t immediate. They went through quite a bit. Even found out that HIS friend had once made out with the old girlfriend and during the time of the wedding started screwing HIS sister. Those two ultimately got married.

I went to one where the groom cried the whole time. Not small tears of joy but uncontrollable man sobbing.

It lasted about 3 years

I would think in the future, given the new culture in America, it's going to be deemed appropriate for whites who "insist" on marrying other whites.. "we object to this white supremacy"

I am not joking...well, I wish I was, but you can see it coming

Not object mid-ceremony but one of my friends never showed up for his wedding. Left the bride standing at the alter waiting
