Packing up to head your way to hold down the T+D Weather Center during the storm.

I'm being swim trunks and garbage bags to cover the equipment in case we feel the need to do in the field updates

And yes, it is a euro bathing suit in case you're wondering

Looking at that and see around 8-12" in N.La

That can easily be anywhere as it moves across if a feeder band trains across an area. That's whats so bad about these things. You don't know if youll get an inch or 10. Sun shine and breezy or TS type weather. Just depends what you get caught in

Of course its different for those in the direct impact area of Tx. Seems like they'll end up with 4-5 days of misery

There are 30 refineries between Corpus and Lake Charles that will likely be effected.....this is about to cause a huge spike in oil and gas prices

And Euro has been on it for the past few runs.

Now we get to wonder how much of the open gulf will it run over before getting here.

Well oil futures are down 2.5% today and gas futures are up 2%, so it doesn't appear the market cares too much.

Wouldn't a stronger hurricane diminish the overall rain totals for most since most of the heaviest rain would be wrapped up closer to the eye. Sorry Texas its still going to suck for you either way.

Aside from the devastation that's likely coming, it really is amazing to see it ... I remember thinking Katrina was beautiful but was scared shitless.

Hey Rome ... go to the travel board. CuseTiger has a thread on airline situations ... that doesn't help about knowing what to do WITH the flight but it can give you a heads up on IF you need to do something, what the airlines are doing.

Good luck.
