Kingwood is pretty flooded. I live in Atascocita and the bridge to get into Kingwood is blocked off by police.
The area I'm in shouldn't ever flood, but there's water creeping up at the entrance to my street. Luckily my street slopes up a bit and I'm at the top of the peak.
They opened the Conroe dam and so now Lake Houston is flooding into my neighborhood.

At least in the second link, it looks like folks are just flooded in, but the water hadn't reached the house. That's what our neighborhood looked like last night.

Just an observation hopefully someone else can chime in looks like Harvey is already southeast of where they had it in 12 hours. Basically i am saying it would have to start moving Northeast now to be on the track the NHC has it for 4pm/

Couldn't speculate, but let's say it is off by a factor of 2 - that is still 20" over 60 hours in Houston.

Got home to flooded streets in Lakeview and am not looking forward to this shitshow that is coming tonight. This is the second time my street has flooded and the first was a month ago. It doesn't seem like the pumps by Harrison and Fleur de Lis are working well.

3rd Lakeview pump is down due to fire. They're trying to get it fixed for "tomorrow."

The rotation is centered just East of Houston and is still pulling immense moisture from the gulf. The rotation is spinning moisture fed from the gulf over Houston. Insane how the storm has positioned itself in such an unfortunately perfect area to retain extreme moisture sources from the gulf with little dry air to quell the convection.
