Any idea on how Graywood in Lake Charles is doing?
Buddy texted me around 1:30 said it was good but "getting a little dicey." I think they have been fine so far.

They were telling people earlier to take University off of Hwy. 6, but just saw on Fox 26 that Hwy. 6 around Lake Olympia, Glen Lakes, University is impassable due to high water.

Any news on the flooding in Cypresswood (Spring) area?
We all lost electricity this morning and it's been poring since noon. Really worried about Cypress Creek. It's already coming in parts of the neighborhood.

Question: does anyone have a map showing flooding of Houston? They developed something for BR a while back that was helpful.

I know it seems like small potatoes... but...
Harvey's gotten a tiny bit stronger

I'm two miles east of there off of Gauthier. Can't really speak to the areas over there near water, but we've been mostly getting bands then breaks for most of the day. Just had our worst one, but the breaks have been enough so that it seems like it's draining well enough for now. Water has crossed our street twice but gone down both times so far today. Who knows if that holds, and it's picking back up a bit. Hope that at least helps a little

Homes on buffalo bayou are already flooded, and the additional flow is not expected to flood any additional houses. You can see the frustration on the officials' faces every time someone asks the question.
Yeah, I've seen the press conferences. The reporters keep misunderstanding the flood maps and think they're the result of the release, when in fact, they're going to flood because the reservoir continues to rise.
As for the release, it could/may increase Buffalo Bayou another foot or two, and any homes that are close to flooding may finally succumb to the waters.
They're not actively trying to screw people downstream, they just don't have a choice. They're trying to work up to 8k cfs released between the two reservoirs, and if the rain doesn't stop, that will likely increase Buffalo Bayou.

The news guy was just on a boat in the Ponderosa Forest neighborhood near cypress creek. shite was bad. 2 story houses and only 2nd story was visible.

Yes, but the statues are down. So please stop disrepecting Mitch. He has made us socially safer.

No additional strengthening is forecast.

It's terrible in some areas. I'm not too familiar with the entire area though. Are you near cyprsswood golf course?
