Mine are getting a little snug. I'll send them on.
Anyone know how Cypress Village or Cypress Mills look? Family out there that we can't get in touch with.

I don't see anything currently on the radar south of Lafayette. Not sure where that guy came up with that on the last page.
The nastiest line of storms currently in Harvey are building over the Lake Arthur area and moving slowly east. If/when that gets into the Lafayette area, the flash flood warning will be justified.

249 north looks open, but sam Houston might be closed.

Yea, that drive Texas map is inconclusive. A few spots they say flood, but not sure if it's SH or the belt.

It's looking like it. Trying to make our way to Methodist in Willowbrook, likely within the next 24 hours based on progress.

I would want no part of having to recover 3-5 day old dead bodies out of water in August

Those look to be heading north into Jennings. Lafayette is catching a break at the moment.

I was looking at Google maps. Shows sam Houston eastbound closed, but westbound not. Not sure if the info is right though.

Yeah I thought I saw Shep Smith saying it's working its way back into the gulf today where it's gonna re strengthen and hit the coast again.
Pro tip: Don't look for weather forecast from Shep Smith.

I just spent 20 minutes looking but cant' find it .. People in the area affected by the controlled water release are on their roofs and water is still rising. WHY THE HELL DOES THIS HAPPEN??
Because if they lose containment of that water in the reservoirs, thousands will be dead. That's not hyperbole either.
No slack I mean why does this shite in general happen??? My son is an environmental eng. I get why they have to release water. I want to know why this shite has to happen to start with. God bless everyone affected in any way.

I drove this morning to check on the beltway and your main issue will be getting on it as the ramps are like lakes in lots of spots

It will likely build to the east like the storms this morning.
Hopefully it just goes away though.
