Probably, given the impacts to the mainland. Plus those scientist types have a chubby for more data.

It's acting as a boundary on the west side. As the storm pulls east, it will as well, focusing the big band farther east. At some point, it'll run into the high pressure boundary over the east coast. Wherever it stalls has the flash flooding risk for today.
Realize for BR and the Northshore it will take a day or two of training to really be an issue. Our flooding depends largely on the coverage over the river basins.
So don't panic or anything Jim. Keep an eye out, pay attention to warnings and updates, and we'll know more details as it developes. Also, for the record, my house took three feet last August and I just moved back in. I'm not close to being worried...yet.
Preesh, Duke. Gotta throw things in layman's for some of us

Baton Rouge has probably gotten 2-3 inches in the last hour. That can't be accurate.
I don't think it's been that much. It's been raining steady for sure, but I don't think we've gotten 2-3 inches. Trying to see if I can find something online.

There's no way it has been 2-3 inches on/around campus.

I've asked about that area too for my brother, but can't get any answers in this thread.

yes its picking back up....if it doesnt head back west and make another landfall this is not good. i know dry air and lower water temps will are potential hindrances but the longer its over the GOM the more moisture it will gulp up. this thing needs to get the frick back on land

Finally made it back into Dickinson and my house. I'm so so so so fortunate everyone and everything of mine is safe.
That's good to hear. I know you were expecting things to be a lot worse. Sad for the rest of Dickinson though.

6-10 inches over the next few days will suck for this area.....
As long as it's not 30 inches over a near similar time period.

I'm off College and Corporate. Steady rain, but I doubt it's an inch so far.
