Ok redstick did the get the elderly guy with oxygen who was locked in his house??

And how do professional dispatchers all over the world figure this out?? How do they know each rescuer location and link that to a rescue need? Obviously they have the location of the needed rescue but do the rescuers wear locators??

That's great. I would hate to be in charge of something like that. My head would be spinning. Awesome they have professionals helping out.

There are a few different Cajun Navy Facebook pages and Facebook groups. All of them are sharing locations of poeple that need rescue and instructions on how to join the Navy if you want to help.

Not sure on the old guy because they wouldn't allow the guys to go out until just before sunrise. I never heard a follow up.

Word spread about the Zello app and dispatchers all over started coming on. One who was a dispatcher for 911 was on last night who was a boss. They are having people give their addresses when they call in and using Google Maps and tinypic to pinpoint all places where people need help and the severity of their situation. They then are sending the addresses straight to the boats. It's very impressive.

Gotcha.

If people are two hours from this Megan woman, and they know where she is, they need to call the coast guard. If she's in as dire a situation as she says, they'll get to her quickly.

Cajun Navy needs to do their thing too, but hopefully emergency calls are being spread to all resources and not just one avenue.

Cajun Navy really needs to be using an app called Glympse that tracks everyone via gps. They are so disorganized right now.

Can anyone tell me if Hwy 90 is open/passable from Stafford to Kirby area ? Have a friend trying to evacuate a family member from stafford to a safe house off of Rice blvd. Tried google maps and Harris county closure maps and seemed open but hard to gauge. Thanks
