This KPRC live stream is getting more bleak by the minute. Reservoir is going to be flooded on the back and add to the flooding in Buffalo Bayou at the same time. Sienna Plantation may be inundated by the Brazos River on Tuesday. The levee system will be at full capacity.

The BR area meteorologist I've been following seem to think BR won't get anything it can't handle. Hopefully that remains true.

Pay attention to the weather reports. When multiple sources tell you to expect up to 60" of rain in three days, pack up and leave. There is no simpler solution than that.
As far as the folks in nursing homes and hospitals are concerned, the administrator should make that decision on behalf of his or her residents. Why wait for a mayor or governor to order an evacuation?

It was hard to understand the release they read. Seems like people will be stuck in homes, but not necessarily flooded out completely.

People spent 6 hours and moved 2 miles and said frick it. People ran out of gas and had to abandon where they were at. Dozens died just waiting in traffic because emergency personnel could not get to them.

Go back through this thread and look at the dates. When did a consensus about what was coming appear? There was plenty of time to hop on I-10 and head east, or head towards Dallas. If you want to blame it on the mayor or whoever then go ahead.

It's all for naught now. Heard on Zello I 10 is closed both directions at Baytown.
