Doing well. Neighborhood is draining pretty well and we dodged a couple of tornadoes yesterday.

The producer on ABC13 filming from inside his house is gut wrenching. Damn. 3 feet of water in his house and he's giving live shots.
Was his electricity on? I for sure thought he's was about to get electecuted.

Crazy. Stay safe, man. This is the worst sustained rain I've seen in my lifetime; both LA and here.

KHOU just evacuated their station. Doors are barely holding shut with 3+ft of water pushing against them.

Our house which has never flooded has water just inches from the house.

It's been on. Apparently people keep it on all the time, but I'd be terrified of electrocution.

Meyerland. We are on a slight rise in the area. Owned it less than a year.
Bought it thinking there's no way we have another flood even worse than Memorial day.

As a resident of Chalmette at the time of Katrina along with most of my family, it's awful to watch this happening to Houston, much as it was last year watching the Baton Rouge area. My wife and I lived in Houston after college for three years before moving back to da Parish, so have friends and some family over there. As we all know, stuff can be replaced but lives cannot. It sucks the long process they will have to go through with insurance etc but they will get through this.
