Which interstats or roads are open? Im hoping to wait til it breaks some and get out and head to Baton Rouge. Just know there are some low spots on 10

keep your phones charged homies, including any portable chargers

I went to bed at 5 when the water was back to the street, woke up to no water in the street. Still have power too. Water got about 10 feet from the garage right as the heaviest rain stopped. It drained down quick. I'm actually just now waking up. My 16 month old son slept through the night.

I would assume no roads are open at this point.

From NHC 10AM discussion:
quote:
Additional rainfall amounts of 15 to 25 inches
are expected over the next several days, and the NOAA Weather
Prediction Center is now forecasting isolated storm total amounts of
50 inches.

All are open in some way... Just not all the way through. Every single low spot is going to be underwater

Where are you coming from? Pretty sure parts of I-10 are 100% impassable.

4 feet of rain is just utter insanity

I didn't mention this earlier, but my wife, my step-cat, and I are all up near Lake Conroe. We are safe. It's just the house.

Jesus, remember when we were just dismissing those predicted 50" storm totals as absurd?

Thank you for your updates and sharing of knowledge. I've gotten more useful info out of this and a couple other posters than all of our local news.

All I can say to the fine folks of H-town is use your common sense because if you listen to the mayor he will have you drowned or electrocuted.
