Hope he's getting compensated

Don't hate if you live in one of those places and you like to say "I live in Houston"
Especially Galveston... Thats like living in BR and saying you live in New Orleans
Houston is inside the loop and pushing to Beltway 8, depending on what direction. Everywhere else is another city... e.g. Pasadena, Jersey Village, Pearland

And no, I didn't intend to start a NO vs BR argument with that.
Just saying, you can't consider a smaller city that is about 50 miles away from a major city, part of that major city.

Any idea how port lavaca is? Wondering if my parents are now homeless
I've spoke to a couple folks who stayed in port O'Connor
they say there is not widespread structural damage just car ports/sheds/etc destroyed
the surge there was less than 3'
one cannot generalize but if port o wasn't wiped clean there's a good chance port lavaca did better than was feared

An incredible transition over just 48 hours for Major #HurricaneHarvey. GOES-16 data is something else.

For those of us that got drunk last night and slept in, has it been as bad as everyone thought?
