Well, I mean, all the models had it as a hurricane for the next 5 days (as of Friday).
So at the same time it's not too surprising because this is what they predicted.

from the NHC's cone of uncertainty... seems like they're lessening the chance of it getting back out into the GoM and taking it more north to Dallas instead of east into Louisiana

Seeing this just makes me wonder how people, like the Indian tribes that settled along the coastal regions back before America was discovered, survived these things without the warnings like we have today.

Just saying, you can't consider a smaller city that is about 50 miles away from a major city, part of that major city.
Most people Identify with the largest well known city because outsiders have no idea where those suburb cities are.

Technically, I live in the extraterritorial jurisdiction of Houston, but my address is sugar land. If I call 911, sugar land po po will not come to my house.
