NHC will be out again at 7PM and 10PM. GFS runs again at 10:30pm I believe, and the all-knowing Euro model will run again around 1AM.

You linked the GFS. On that page, select Hurricane models, HWRF, then Harvey.

You're not. I am born and raised in South La, so I am familiar with hurricanes and riding them out.

If I don't have to stay, then I'm not. Why opt to be miserable if you have options? If hurricanes hit in March or April, maybe. But not Aug/Sept

You should be fine if leaving tomorrow. Tx DOT has a good website that shows road closures. Good luck

Those hurricane specific models are too bullish generally.

Why are local weather guys here in BR but even mentioning there's a chance for this to circle back into LA? pat shingleton said it was going into mexico

Eta Grimes just got on board with what you guys have been saying since yesterday!

Yep. Worth mentioning, but they tend to err on the side of caution, to put it mildly.

Shingleton is irresponsible and doesn't really know what he's doing.

Is there a particular reason you added the lower dynamic MSLP and 850mb wind option?
That gives me the 146 kt

You're right. I had the the 850 mb wind speeds up. The 10m winds are 116kts in that frame. Thanks for pointing it out.

You should cancel dude. The concert probably will.

I assumed so too but the concert (Coldplay at NRG) announced this afternoon that they are going ahead with the show tmro night. They posted a video later of stage prep going on.

I'm suppose to go to that concert

I really don't want to go

Problem is those folks to the west of Houston. Probably a few of them that won't be able to make it. I think it's kind of foul to not reschedule the concert.
