I'm on a job in Beaumont through tomorrow evening. I think I already know the answer, but how screwed are my co-worker and I if we try to drive back to the office (near Jersey Village) via beltway 8?

That makes us smart

Imagine Houston paralyzed until late next week? If it's not that bad and I spend a few bucks on a hotel room who gives a frick. A Cat 1 I wouldn't even think about leaving but this has the possibility to drop over 2 foot of rain on Houston and knock the power out for 3 days or so.

This may be a dumb question, but is there a reason they don't use jet engines on the recon aircraft?

I'm pretty sure a prop plane can maintain lower speed

But that's probably wrong

you're not overreacting, try going multiple days without AC in houston's humid weather, its awful. Then try to do it with nothing to do all day long: no tv,no internet, no nothing. It's just a very tedious thing to go through, done it twice, and I've decided im a princess and i need my electricity.

That's fricking ridiculous. I'm having Katrina flashbacks.

I also have a question that might sound stupid. If any offshore platforms get really fricked up. Rental tool companies that have equipment out there. I assume this stuff is insured and will need to be replaced?

Welp, the HWRF really blows Harvey up before landfall.

That would sterilize the coast there.
