My favorite mall, great food court.
At least if you go to Vegas they have slot machines in the airport and at the gates while you wait for your flight.
They should really think about adding some table games too.
MSY should add some video poker machines in one of the gate concourses. Hey if you are limited 3 video poker machines per liquor license, each set of 3 can be assigned to one licensee and separated by a western half swinging door in a line. I think that was how some businesses went around the truck stop bans, they just got few liquor licenses and established multiple businesses right next to each other on paper and operated them all as one.

I hate flying to or through Atlanta. It's such a crowded mess. Planes usually have to wait for a gate and the wait on the tarmac is excessive. The food options only include fast food (long wait and expensive) or a fuel station level sandwich.
No thanks. I avoid ATL as much as possible. You can throw O'Hare in there as well.

Getting out of CLT is absolute hell on earth. But getting through security is shockingly quick in my experience

Do the color coded maps and signs still match the station colors?

They have two airports in CHI, with Midway they will never be #1. Same with Laguardia and JFK in NYC. Same with Reagan and Dulles in DC.
This right here.

Bush and Hobby in Houston.
ATLANTA owns land in Dawson County that was set aside for the 2nd airport but they will never build one. ATL airport is a very crooked place and employs the dumbest of the dumb

Nothing new. It is always fascinated me how Heathrow is up there with only 2 runways. They have alternating stacks for arrivals and departures skirt the Wake Turbulence requirement by alternating departure directions. Normally depending on the aircraft wake turbulence requirements you have to hold an aircraft 2-3 minutes, but with the alternating flight pattern takeoff they call it the Heathrow minute. All of the other airports have 4 or more runways. (Expect Nirita I thought they had 3 and just looked it up they only have 2 as well). To run the numbers that Heathrow does with only 2 is really impressive.

Well that’s not true at all

DFW's layout OTOH, can SMD.
DFW layout is great as long as you aren’t flying AA and flying out one concourse (where you parked)and back on another.
There’s a security line like every 5-6 gates and baggage claim is right there when you walk out the doors. Parking is very convenient for picking up and finding a spot.
I fly into both DFW and Love when going to Dallas multiple times a year and both are well done
Atlanta is very impressive for how massive it is and how much traffic goes through there. And to that idiot earlier, there are all kinds of restaurants in the airport outside of just fast food. I even think one of the restaurants was named like top 10 restaurant in all airports or something

Wut?
There are great food options on every concourse throughout the airport. You're full of shite.

No.

Surprised O'Hare is that low.
It has a Midway airport to channel some of the additional traffic, as does Dallas with Love Field and most cities Atlanta’s size. If you add Midway, Love, etc there is more passenger air traffic overall in the cities than Atlanta.
Atlanta has needed a 2nd airport on north side for years to reduce vehicle traffic but you’d rather win the prize for busiest airport and sacrifice quality of life driving around the area.

Them pissing away the 2nd north ATL airport and letting ATL have that airport will eventually burden the State.
*And also the Republican governor that sold off the land for the northern arc to keep the “rural” people north of ATL happy. The land for the other airport would have connected to.
Now nobody can go east/west north of 285.

They've been saying this for 30 years and it hasn't happened yet. It's our greatest source of revenue.

Mostly Fulton County’s revenue, where like most bloated woke cities it’s wasted on expensive meals and activities for less than scrupulous people that annoy you.

Anyone who thinks ATL is a terrible airport is either just wrong or hasn't traveled enough. It's a great airport for connections and food options while on a layover. One of the few airports where you can easily handle either a 35 minute or 2 hour layover.
That said, I will never fly through LAX ever again. Haven't been to DFW or CLT in a while but don't remember them being the quickest to navigate.
