Houston would elect her again in a landslide if she ran again

Her term ends this year and she isn’t going for reelection, thank God.

I never understood how she won in the first place. I think she just rode the liberal AOC young Hispanic woman popularity wave.

Dora the Explorer is the worst. Even democrats in Houston are tired of her shite.

Sounds like she thinks the rules don't apply to her.

Dora was installed the first term, cheated in her second & abandoned on the third.

And they would still elect her. You have to realize what the majority of Harris County...is.

Am I? Say that shite to me once they elect the next dingbat. You put way too much faith in Harris County. Houston is lost. It's closer to Baltimore than it is to Dallas. We all know this.

Since chute seats were sold out, officials asked her to return to the suite multiple times. Eventually, they asked her to leave altogether when she refused to return to her assigned suite.

did she ask them " Do you know who I am?". That always works.

white-passing.

this is great! Can I use this?

Gotta give credit for the mental gymnastics though. Technically she is trespassing trying to access an area in which she isn't allowed. And you have to admire someone who can infer the white man's evil privilege while trying to use her own privilege to access an area she isn't allowed. fricking count

She wasn't supposed to win. She won because of "Blue No Matter Who" in the year Beto (lolz) ran against Ted Cruz.

She unseated Ed Emmett who was respected by everyone here. It was a travesty and hopefully we can elect someone competent like Ed.

She won in 2018 in a straight ticket vote when Beto was running against Ted Cruz.

At the top of the ticket, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz lost Harris county by more than 200,000 votes; Former Judge Ed Emmett’s (R) race — midway down the longest ballot in the country — was decided by a margin of about 19,000 votes. That is how Dora the Explorer ended up in office.

Straight ticket voting ended in 2020 in Texas.

Clearly this was her first rodeo...

Good joke.

But just to be clear, this is not her first rodeo:
quote:

So far this Rodeo season, Lina Hidalgo has visited the Rodeo at least 3 other times and been given 21 chute tickets for free, which have a total value of nearly $9,000.

Despite her post saying that she's NEVER enriched herself through her office.

Just as an example about 3 years ago Wesley Hunt was in the suites and was treating the cleaning crew the same as he would treat the chairmen.

That’s the dude Texas Republicans should have promoted into the Senate runoff.

Certainly someone who had suite tickets could afford that if she wanted to sit in the chute area.

I highly doubt she paid for that suite.

Sounds like the Chairwoman of the rodeo’s board, and their CEO, are sick of her shite.

These days, not only are we fighting a war abroad, but some people, mostly white men, have felt emboldened to treat others, particularly Hispanics, with physical force,” Hidalgo wrote. “I don’t travel without my passport anymore. Many of us do, especially those of us who are not white-passing.”

Good lord. She is so nuts. Her life will flounder as she is out of office. She seems to love attention while also being unable to handle attention.
