Pedialyte works much better.

It's back on the shelves. Fritos and puffs Cheetos are hard to come by.

Imagine being an adult drinking Gatorade or Powerade.
Imagine being an adult in charge of children and feeding them this shite.

There isn’t even that much sugar in normal.
A 20 oz Gatorade has 36 grams of sugar. That’s an entire day’s worth of recommended sugar intake in one drink.

Plastic bottle shortage.
Drink VOOZ. No sugar, has zinc and a few other ingredients on top of electrolytes etc.

Went to Costco and they have like a million packs of zero there.

My wife (no pics) works for Pepsi, which owns both Gatorade and Frito-Lay there are several issues. Distributors are having issues with getting trucks loaded and unloaded - mainly a Frito-Lay issue and regarding Gatorade, they have it coming out of the arse but nothing to put it in so it's a plastics issue.

I drink Nuun, GU, or Hammer sports drinks (mixed from tablets) while exercising but Gatorade is good for post workout glycogen replacement. Ingesting carbs shortly after an endurance workout is more important than getting protein in your body quickly. Protein is fine within 2-3 hours. While white carbs are the bane of the couch potatoes diet people that workout/train for endurance actually need a lot of white carbs. If you look at the in-season diet for cycling World Tour riders their diets have a large amount of white carbs in them. The bottom line is carb amounts and types depend heavily on the particular person and their exercise regimin. There is no one size fits all.
I usually buy Gatorade in powder form from Amazon which makes 9 gallons for ~$10 and it lets me adjust the amount based on the amount of sugars I need at the time.

Even CNN had a recent tweet about empty grocery store shelves, yet the Twitter bots were quick to reply with "my store is fine here. Quit writing articles like this"

It is also a hot fill versus cold fill process (pasteurization) which is complex and not as easily recoverable when you hit a shortage situation.
After that trucks are the biggest constraint followed by materials. Oh, and have you heard people do not want to work?
Also, consumer demand is through the roof for beverages and bottlers are having to prioritize what to make relative to available capacity. Once the supply chain reaches this level of constrained throw in a winter vortex or snow like last week and your battleship is sunk. There have been intermittent disruptions to CO2, nitrogen, HFCS, cans, PET and citric acid to name a few. And then you experience a manufacturing failure, which happens when running essentially 24/7.
As for the "doctors" here, there is not enough niacin to harm anyone - in fact it has health benefits, nature pain remedy - or ever heard of a niacin flush. Sugar will not kill you, in fact your body needs some sugar. Good grief folks.
This response is general rather than directed to the poster responded to. Just saw the opportunity to tag onto post referencing bottler challenges.
Remember toilet paper shortages? Consumers are the issue more times than suppliers. Stop acting like this is more than a cold, things will return to normal. And one more for the health experts, it is mental health we should be concerned with relative to our current circumstances - it is more dangerous than a virus.
Stay thirsty my friends.

I'm finding very little Gatorade or Powerade on the grocery shelves
It’s in my pantry. My wife and I live alone, neither of us drink it, but - sucks for you - our grandkids apparently do.
