Nah, there are full documentaries that cover the City's version of the story in an effort to make themselves look blameless. What I shared covers the full story.
You're an idiot. The 12 minute video that I guess you think is completely unbiased does not cover more than the 1.5 hour long documentaries. Only a mental midget would think that. But I think the entire board knows that's what you are so it's not surprising. One of the documentaries was 100% behind him and had you going "o hell yea" after and made you think he was completely justified.

Probably not a good idea to agitate someone you believe to be an unhinged lunatic who is just keeping to himself and not bothering anybody.
The dude, and everyone who ever lived or worked at his property, shite and pissed into an old, rusty concrete mixer drum off of a concrete truck. When it would get full, and it didn't take all that long, ol' Marv would hook up to it, haul it away from his property, and find a ditch somewhere to dump it in. I'm sure that bothered no one, though.
He could build the killdozer, but couldn't figure out how to rig up a septic tank. That figures.

Truly a day that a bunch of old cucks love celebrating, which seems to prove that even when you take things into your own hands, nothing of consequence will happen.

Killdozer
Well Marvin was a welder, just a humble working man,
In Granby, Colorado, where he’d make his final stand,
So now I’ll tell his tale so heed the lesson that he brings
“Sometimes reasonable men must do unreasonable things”
Killdozer! Killdo-o-ozer!
You know sometimes a man he just refuses to surrender
Killdozer! Killdo-o-ozer!
when you mess with such a man he’ll give you something to remember
He owned a couple acres and a shop to make repairs,
Not a man to wrong another without cause,’
But some bureaucrats decided that he wasn’t good enough,
And so they destroyed his livelihood with laws,
They had finished Marvin’s business,
Left him no way in or out,
By the red tape one more common man screwed over,
But inside Heemeyer spied unfinished business of his own,
When with vengeance on his mind he eyed his Dozer
Killdozer! Killdo-o-ozer!
You know sometimes a man he just refuses to surrender
Killdozer! Killdo-o-ozer!
when you mess with such a man he’ll give you something to remember
For 18 months he built it,
Cement sandwiched within steel,
A cocoon of revenge filled with screens and guns,
With an armor plated engine,
This behemoth with a blade,
When complete it weighed in over 60 tons
On fourth of June he climbed into his tomb,
And sealed it shut,
Greased the sides so none could climb this beast of metal,
There was no door, created for it,
He just smashed right through the walls,
His legend roared as to the floor he pushed the pedal,
Killdozer! Killdo-o-ozer!
You know sometimes a man he just refuses to surrender
Killdozer! Killdo-o-ozer!
when you mess with such a man he’ll give you something to remember
The plant that caused it all, was first to fall, and the the town hall,
Then the dens of all the men who’d done him wrong,
When the cops, they tried to stop it,
bombs and guns could not prevail,
They all failed for the Killdozer was too strong,
Bridge:
Then to challenge him in the road,
On a metal beast of his own,
Sat the man who had used the machine of state,
To take Heemeyer’s Land,
But Now Killdozer Stands,
Two Treads Driven By Fate
Banjos and fiddles duel
And though some may call him crazy,
Sometimes every normal man,
Feels the urge to hoist the black flag,
And put spit upon his hands,
In his defense,
No innocents,
Were harmed in his destruction,
He met his end,
Buried within,
A tomb of his construction,
So if you’re feeling small,
Then just recall, And give some thanks,
When they step upon the little man,
Somewhere killdozer cranks!,
Killdozer! Killdo-o-ozer!
You know sometimes a man he just refuses to surrender,
Killdozer! Killdo-o-o-ozer!
When you mess with such a man he’ll give you something to remember

I'd say it's both.
On one hand I get it and it's 100% bad arse, but on the other hand I don't think he's an American hero because he did some bad things that can't be justified simply by saying the government was screwing him over.
People want to overlook it because it's a cool story but even though he didn't kill anybody, he would have been perfectly fine with killing people. Blowing up the propane tank and shooting at cops has been touched on, but he also bulldozed buildings and a library that had people, including kids, in it when he was headed towards it. The video leaves that out obviously.
People on this board and certain posters in this thread have talked about people that commit suicide are cowards. Pretty sure fatkid went on a rant on the M/TV board about an actor that committed suicide being a coward even though he can;t relate to the mental illness that particular person was going through. Yet this guy gets a pass because, you know, it's a cool story.
I've watched two documentaries on it now and I get it, he was pushed over the edge and he did something pretty wild/cool that a lot of people wish they could do. I mean who doesn't want to give a big F you to the government and bulldoze buildings? But that doesn't mean that what he was right.
Agree with most of that for sure. It's always been odd to me that people on this board jerk off over this dude like he's some folklore hero, when in actuality he's a crazy piece of shite who brought a lot of his problems upon himself. his local government gets some blame no doubt, but he also never helped himself and only made his situation worse. Not to mention he kept breaking the law and whatnot. And he targeted occupied buildings and even destroyed some of them, yet people in here come at me sideways when I say he put innocent people in harm's way.
Because, you know...cool story, like you said.

Never wondered why he didn’t sell his property to the local magnate for $250K when he had purchased it for $40K two years earlier.
All this would have been avoided…
You're a coward.

. I'd wager that 99% of the posters of the OT would have hated the man's guts if he were their neighbor.
Yea probably.
Still doesn't make what the Government did to him right. a-hole or not, no one should be ganged up on by a bunch of local officials to benefit their friends.

Nah, there are full documentaries that cover the City's version of the story in an effort to make themselves look blameless.
Testimony from people MH saw and talked to regularly paints a very different picture. Was he squeaky clean? Obviously not. He built a killdozer and flattened half the town, but he wasn't the mindless psycho his enemies portray.

Because it has more people in it who wanted their 15 minutes of fame talking on camera right? That makes it more better. Got it.
Eta just saw the above post.

but he put a lot of innocent people in harm's way that day and ended up being a fricking coward.
Most people don't know that he was firing at huge propane tanks near a school, but his armor was in the line of fire just enough to deflect the bullets. If not for that one mistake, he'd likely have killed several people including children.
Initially I thought what he did was awesome because no one was harmed, but when you dig into what happened before and during the rampage, the guy was an a-hole.

We make a stop at the YMCA there each year on our Colorado road trip. Every store and gas station in Granby has books about this. It is their claim to fame.

Because he didn’t want to and instead of respecting his wishes the city tried like hell to make his life miserable and business fail

It took a healthy dose of dumb luck on more than one occasion of his rampage to keep him from seriously hurting or killing someone.

Oh 100% I feel this way. What exactly do you think were the possible end results here? Coming out guns blazing and getting shot by the national guard wasn't really an option since he clearly didn't intend to physically harm anyone.

Or intentional effort (which we can't verify happened) and detailed planning (which we know happened).

What does that matter? So his intent all along was to kill himself. Even more cowardly.
So what is he, an American hero or the suicidal cowards that you love to bash?
