Oh, good Lord. If my uncle finds out, he'll be waiting at the airport to spit in her face.

You can buy these at the pop up shops near the Vietnam War Memorial in D.C.

She looks great in that first photo. She's over 70 and has the skin of a 19 year old.

There are a lot of soldiers whose names are etched on a wall in DC that wished they did.

Have you lived in a cave your entire life? Bring up Jane Fonda in any group and you’ll see a good portion, if not a majority, express disgust toward her. You do know what she did during the Vietnam War, right? She wasn’t just a war protestor. She committed blatant treason.

She is a disgrace...if you have to ask why, you weren't there?

I was 10 at the time. Really didn't know about this until later in my life. Most of the posters here were barely walking or not born in 1972.

She has apologized for how that all went down and said she was not taking shots at troops but at the government, for the useless war being waged.

I could almost believe that maybe she was too naïve to understand how her presence there would be used by our enemy except that she was 35 years old at the time.

I'm going to the hospital in a while to visit a friend who was residing at the Hanoi Hilton at the time of her "visit," I'll ask him his thoughts on this

I've sang a many a cadence about killing her. But she's apologized many times and said she'll carry that regret to her grave. Because she was young and stupid, I tend to believe her, but it wasn't my war so I can't tell those who served there or their families what to think. The betrayal must have been a gut punch.

As someone who voluntarily served in a war, I believe we need the civilian population's support AND when necessary, their voice of opposition. Because when you take the oath, you give up that voice. Hopefully the lesson of Jane Fonda is how to do it the right way, or at a minimum, a way that doesn't bring harm to those serving.
