When I go bald, I’m going all in for my first tattoo and last haircut.

I'm thin on top. I'll live with it.
Vanity post 50 years of age, is very expensive.

Dr Agus was on Howard Stern the other day and they were talking about replicating stem cells and how curing baldness was something they've literally cracked just recently - like literally just months ago. Now they just have to somehow beat the frickers like Bosley and Hair Club back before they buy and shelve all the research, etc.
I personally think that the cure has been found years ago and will never see the light of day. The amount of money Bosley, etc. make is ridiculous. No way they allow it to come out. Personally I am holding out hope. As technology gets better I'm sure something works and lacks the side effects.

I'm lucky that at 41 i'm just now starting to thin out. If it gets to wear there might be a need for a come over situation I'll go super short, and then shave it.

Mine started thinning in my late 20s. By mid-30s I started buzz cutting it and getting progessively shorter. By ~45 or so I made the jump to shaving the whole thing.
Now at 60, if I could take a single pill one time and get a full head of hair back I'd pass. The only downside to shaving is making sure it's got sunscreen in the summer and keep it warm in winter. WELL worth the the benefits to me.

They do great work in Turkey

I'm not a vain person so when it got to a certain point I shaved it all off.

I'm 38, and my hair started thinning in my early 30's. Didn't bother me much at all but I figured I'd look at some options.
Last year I went to a doctor that prescribed me a 1mg finasteride prescription and recommended a 2k red light cap that you wear for 7 minutes every day. I've stuck to the routine pretty good, take the pill every morning and use the cap when I get in bed at night (found one brand new on eBay for $300). My hair is 100% thicker than it was when I was 30. Couldn't believe the 1 year before and after pictures. He told me the most growth actually occurs between years 1 and 2 so it will probably get even better.
Wouldn't ever do transplants but I'm happy with the results I've gotten from the pill and cap.

How’s your manhood? That seems to be the trade off on those pills
I probably take the same pill as the dude you were talking about.
Side effect is lower sex drive. Dr. told me that he's personally never seen someone with impotence with it, which is what scares most people off. And a study showed that with the small % of those it did happen with (I think it was well under 1%), once they stopped taking it the problem went away.
I haven't had an issue with either side effect, but the lower sex drive is a fairly common one you see when you research it.

I will recommend going for a hair transplant if you are ready to spend $4000 to $5000. In Turkey, hair transplants are very affordable. Last year I got a hair transplant in Turkey at Grace Touch Clinic and had amazing results.
First post, bumping an old hair transplant thread.
Nice marketing plan, Grace Touch Clinic in Turkey.

Started going bald in late 20s so started buzz cutting. Developed the classic horseshoe pattern so about 5 years ago, started shaving it clean.

The idea that companies have the power to withhold scientific breakthroughs is ridiculous.
And Bosley has 450 employees and their annual revenue is $242 million. They are a small company. They aren't stopping shite.

Once worked with a guy that was going bald and in his early 40's so he decided to get a wig. He showed up at work one day sporting one of the biggest pompadour style wigs I've ever seen. It was so big it looked like a caricature of Elvis Presley's hairstyle. He eventually got another one WAY more appropriate, if wearing a wig is appropriate.
We had a vice principal at my high school that was bald for 5 years that I was at the school (it was 7-12) and then my senior year he showed up with a wig. It was one of the most absurd things.

I shave my head and have since about 26.
I looked into hair transplants. 1. Expensive 2. it’s not always permanent. people have had to get them done multiple times. 3. you don’t end up with a creat hairline IMO. it starts way to high up.
now I have been bald for so long I feel like to would be weirder to just show up with hair.
I’ll say this: Balding is harder than being bald.
