Don’t use gel. Use a paste. I use a $6 bottle from CVS and it’s just as good as the high end brands. I’d always feel gullible to buy the expensive ones because my hair dresser was hot. Now I’m just a cheap arse

M for Mitch by Pau Mitchell is a dry style can of stuff my stylist sells me.
I have bought similar shite at Walgreens made by either J Crew or American Crew for similar prices that also does the same thing.

I use Blind Barber 90 Proof Hair Pomade. You can find it on Amazon for $18. To get the hardened, wet look I slightly dry my hair after a shower, rub it between my fingers, apply all throughout my hair then use a comb to style it. To get a more natural, dry hold I'll do everything the same, but wait a little while longer to style it with a comb after applying the pomade. The trick to it is how dry your hair is before styling.

Just use something that gives a matte finish. American Crew Fibet, Old Spice Paste, both solid options.

Im a Bluemaan guy. Tried a few. Like this stuff better than the stuff I could get at the drug store. Use the classic meraki (sp?). Paul Mitchell paste that you get from the hair place is solid as well. But, Im dead sexy, so results may vary.

Although I use Crew Pomade and Old Spice Ricochet Fiber, I have to say I use Brylcreem the most. Yes, I am on old man. Get off my lawn.

I use Paul Mitchell Reformer and buy it off of Amazon. Some of the vendors on there are pricey, but if you look at all the options there are some with good prices.
