Sorry about your buddy Stout

He's a beautiful dog, poor baby. Def difficult to see your dog hurting. Prayers sent your way.

Sorry man.

Just put ours down over a month ago. Made a trip to whataburger and sat on the floor at home near crying feeding her her last patty. Sucks man.

Give yourself time. But you know when that dog is getting NO joy anymore. When you get there it's time.

Thanks everyone

Going to check on him in the morning. The vet didn't give me an update this afternoon because I doubt there was any progress this fast. Hoping for some better news tomorrow.

That's the hardest thing to have to do.. Put a family dog to sleep. Either way, I hope it works out for the best. The easiest way to get over the lose of a dog is to get a new one ASAP.

I am so sorry to have read this. It breaks my heart thinking about anyone who has to go through that with their dog. Prayers sent for a positive outcome. Looks like a wonderful dog.

After being at the vets office for 4 days, he finally got to home today.

He's still not out of the woods yet though and there is still a little blood in his urine, but it is getting clearer each day so that's looking good and on top of that his fever finally broke. He's happy to be home and even the vet said how much happier he has gotten with each passing day. Moving more, wagging his tail, running, etc.

He has some antibiotics to keep taking and hopefully he will keep making progress but if he doesn't then we will weigh our options including the ultrasound to see if there is a mass pressing on his kidney, but the vet said he isn't quite ready to give up hope yet based on the progress.

He hasn't had an appetite while at the vets so now I have to get him to eat something and he's not interested in dog food right now so I will probably cook him something to see if that entices him.

Boil some chicken and cook some rice and mix it up. That's what we fed our Golden for "special occasions" and he loved it. Glad to hear things are looking better stout.

My dog had/has bladder cancer.

We had the mass removed.

It will grow back though
