I live pretty far out in the county in a Memphis burb. The road I drive into work, church, etc is a smaller country road that’s hilly and curvy. Bicyclist love riding on it.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve come around a curve or over a hill and have to slam on my brakes because they’re 2 or 3 wide in the road. Speed limit is 45.

They also like to ride sometimes on a 6 lane road during rush hour for some reason.

Won’t say I hate them but I have a severe dislike for them and normally wish they hit gravel and crash.

Is there a legit reason a bunch of dudes on their morning ride have to all dress out like they’re riding the Tour de France? I never understood this.

And if one sees you trying to pass they swerve left in front of you trying to keep you behind them. Had one in a group of three come up and confront me at the next stop sign (I was waiting) because I passed even after he ran me all the way over into the opposite shoulder. I threw his bike into the ditch.

I have zero issues if they follow the same rules as everyone else, but I had a cyclist try and get into the roundabout while I was already in it and he went bonkers.

It was coming off a hill and he would need a lot of momentum to get up the next hill, so I get it, but rules is rules.

This was on Lower Roswell for the thousand folks on here who live in the area.

I cycle and I stay on the bike paths or sidewalks, or I defer to traffic if I'm on the street.

Many breaking all the rules are entitled brats and Karens, and they're often upper-level corporate types. Many of them even think pedestrians are supposed to get out of their way.

I watched one in his 60's have to slam on his breaks, and he went flying over the top of his bars, and I loved seeing it. It was glorious.

Thing is, this whole issue is going to come to a head. Bikers will continue breaking rules, and when they wreck or get hit, it will be the car and truck drivers who will get blamed by arse-kissing police.

Serious question. Do they make kid’s road bikes like the ones they were riding?

This. Lower Roswell and the roads along the Chatahoochie are all middle aged rich men. I also watched one start finger pointing at a concrete truck driver and punch the door. I assumed he was going to get shot, but the driver just laughed.

They do this a lot when they are in the wrong.

Kinda like the roads were built only for them.

Short answer is yes. The quality bikes (~$2,000+) will fit down to just over 4' riders.

Once they get a little taller the best option is a bike technically designed for a woman. There are some subtle frame geometry differences but nothing you can't normally fit around. The positive is the really small frame sizes are often blown out at the end of a model year for cheap. Just like shoes on clearance, the really small and really large sizes hang around and see multiple price cuts.

The thing about quality youth bikes is they tend to be more expensive for similar quality components just because many of the components have to be sized smaller than on any adult bike so they can't take advantage of scaling.

I have a habit of pinching them to the curb as they try to “slow” a red light.

That is my favorite pastime.

I love passing them and then slowing down and coming to a FULL stop for several seconds at a stop sign (while pinned against the curb).

Then I laugh as they all have to unclip there feet from the bike.
