You do realize smart one that you can get a noise ordinance permit which allows you to break the noise ordinance. I have gotten them many times in the past because I have a-hole neighbors like you who want to be cranky and complain, so I one up them with the permit.

Louisiana and southern states are the only states that pay their Police such shite.

In northern and northeastern cities, it’s VERY difficult to get on with a PD. The pay is much much better. Training is much better. Equipment is better. And many of their departments require a BS to even be considered.

Wife told me PD is considered a very good job in RI. I laughed.

We’ll keep your post between you and me.

In fairness to me, the music was some techno bass bullshite and just annoying as hell.

I had a similar situation by me in Covington. However, the music was Lee Greenwood's "Proud to be an American." It was also 7AM for me. With my cup of coffee, it was a good way to start the 4th of July. At least you didn't get dazed and tazed.

Fair enough if they had one but even those have limitations to them.

Maybe you are the a-hole neighbor if you have had to get noise permits "many times"

Why don’t you move back to Massachusetts since you hate it here so much?

If you ever wonder why the police don’t attract the best and brightest, see the posting that the Zachary police department listed the other day. That lifestyle and 32k could be yours!

So if you read the poster it's actually:

32,448 + 6000 + 2400 for a bachelor's = 40,848 base pay. If you're 22-23 right out of college you could do alot worse than 40k plus:

- an employer paying 90% of your health insurance premium
- a month of vacation time per year
- paying into a pension system instead of social security

And you work in Zachary which is probably not a bad place to work as a cop all things considered

He did play Born in the USA at some point so that was cool but then he went back to shitty electric music with that annoying bass line.

But they only serve papers, right?

FWIW, Port ALLEN city Marshalls run radar and issue speeding tickets on La 415. So maybe they’re more than we think.

Gotta love the Marshalls.
Another bloated governmental division who's jobs could easily be absorbed by the other Law Enforcement offices.

You should have told him to get a real job and that you pay his salary and said something about him being bullied in high school, and something about power trip, and you’d kick his arse if he didn’t have that gun, blah blah blah

all cops should make $100k, but all of the current crop should be let go.

no ex-military douches that come back and treat citizens like insurgents for not wearing a seatbelt.
