Had a Lake Charles City Marshall deputy threaten to arrest me for asking his name

There is a 4K or something by my house today and they have a DJ blaring music since before 6 AM. I just wanted them to turn down the bass. I know...get off my lawn! In fairness to me, the music was some techno bass bullshite and just annoying as hell.

There was a deputy here lining up to assist with the marathon and he was right by my house so I asked him if he could simply ask them to turn the music down to comply with the LC noise ordinance. He was too busy playing on Facebook on his phone and told me to take it up with City Hall who issues the permits. I told him the permits are for the race and don't allow them to violate the noise ordinance. Dumbfounded he told me to move along.

Since he was no help I tried to look for a name tag just in case and he didn't have one. When I asked his name he told me to move along so I got my phone to get his vehicle and license plate number and that's when he told me if I didn't walk off he was going to arrest me. I asked him for what and he just said: "move along now or you will go to jail". At that point, it was only he and I so would have been my word against his but another car pulled up to complain about the noise also and I asked again why he was going to arrest me. Realizing I now had a witness he piped down and just asked us to move along. I walked off but the other car stayed a few more minutes talking to him.

People like this shouldn't represent LEO but sadly they do and give legit LEO a bad name. This guy is a prick and shouldn't be allowed to wear a badge. He could have made up some shite about me and next thing I know I have a costly legal battle and a day in jail.

I do have the vehicle info but I doubt I could do anything with it.

BTW: I went and asked the DJ to turn the bass down which he did. Very nice guy.
