All he had to do was tell them to turn noise down.
Maybe he was there working a security detail and wasn’t there to serve and protect.
Maybe the OP asked to wrong person.
Maybe he should have asked the DJ first then called 911

Can someone please tell me what a 4K is??
Let’s use some critical thinking skills. Why would a 5K be changed to a 4K? What’s so special about the number 4 on a day like today? Hmm.
And the event is actually a 4 mile, not 4K.

Okay well thank you. That makes more sense.

Call and complain to his boss. I did that once, and it turned out the officer was wearing a body camera that supported my version of events. His boss apologized to me and wrote the guy up. He also tried to explain the officer’s actions by telling me that he was going through a tough divorce. I told his boss that he would be wise to stick him behind a desk until he is capable of interacting with people without being a complete dick. Cops like that are a real problem, and there are too many of them out there.

I probably would have done the same thing, but taken it further. I have no issue pushing those type of guys when they are well outside the actual law and just think they can string arm you bc of a uniform. I call their bs all the time in BR and don’t worry about being taken to jail as 9/10 they won’t or will figure out quickly not to pull their shite with me. I’m polite, but very assertive 99.9% of the time. Some times I’m a royal a-hole

My hometown for high school has a population around 780 people. New Police Chief puts on FB that he will have four officers on duty July 4. The town does not need one. I hope they are reserves.

I would hate to think a town of 780 would have 4 or 5 paid cops.

And you should be on that committee OweO. Your topics are relevant and on point.

Your stories are getting better, Oweo.

Now you understand why several of us here always say not to ever let your liberty go in situations like this. It's not right to just comply or else. Sometimes, you have to tell the Thin Blue Lyin' to kick rocks.

1. absolutely right
and
2. did the most responsible/grown up thing
Cops can sometimes be young punks who do not know how to deal with the authority and power they have, and need daddy (their supervisor) to step in and tell them how it needs to be.

Figure out who he is through plate and whatever Intel you collected, and post his information here.
That's better than city hall.
