So sorry to hear that, brother. Prayers for you and yours.

Stay strong man. Your kids will need you now more than ever. I'm definitely praying for you and your family.
I went to the go fund me page and was floored at the current donation level, and it seems to be rising every minute. Looks like some great people are showing up for you in your time of need.
Again stay strong, if for nothing else, for your children.

This is awful to hear especially so close to Christmas. Keep your head up bud.

Just incredible. Our little corner of the internet that we share is so awesome. My only regret about this place is that I didn't find it earlier.

Indeed a great bunch of BAWS and BAWETTES - let's push this up to $25,000 and give him some breathing room to keep going forward. This is beyond tragic.

Your wife died last night, and your first thought is to come to the internet and ask strangers for money.
I know a lot of people are going to think I'm a horrible person for saying this, but this does not pass the initial sniff test.
My brother-in-law died early one morning while we were all on family vacation. Extremely sudden, no one ever saw it coming. There is an initial period of anguish but eventually your mind kicks into a different mode, a goal/tasks mode. "We have to pack. We have to make the 6 AM ferry with his body. What mortuary is going to handle the cremation after the autopsy. Who needs to be called an informed?" So on and so forth. from about 3:30 AM until midnight the next day all my wife did was handle the shite that needed to get done. Thankfully, my mother-in-law is in a position that she could cover all funeral expenses. If that had not been the case, I can guaran-damn-tee you that would have come up within the first few hours of his passing and my wife would have had a panic attack about it. CD said her family can't afford it. He can't afford it. He turns to the one place where we all spend too much time.
Having been by my wife's side as she dealt with something very similar, I don't think this out of the ordinary.

Print this thread.
Save it as a .pdf or something. I know my 69 year-old (at the time) father is not the same, but when he died, I printed the thread on my "home" board at that time (still is) Cigar Weekly. I went back and read the words those friends wrote to me over the years.
This thread is similar to that.
I am praying for you, your children, your extended family. Offer your suffering for their good and let it be YOUR prayer. I truly cannot imagine the pain and heartache, brother.

Prayers for you and your family, man. Can't imagine what you're going through, but we've got your back here.
