Mine is a hoarder with clothes. We have clothes from one end of the house to the next and it’s all hers. I told her to get to cleaning it out bc when we move next year, I’m trashing most of it. I have in the past, so she knows I’m not screwing around

I tell my wife that we could have a 15,000 square foot home and she’d find a way to fill every inch of it.

I don’t even have closet space in our bedroom, I have the Bastard closet space that’s left over in the living room. We also have a bigger closet in the den, but I lost out on that because that’s where all the Holiday decorations go.

This is me. I'll give her credit, though. She retired at the end of May and has been looking for stuff to do on a daily basis. I'm not retired, but I work from home.

She has seen a few episodes of Hoarders. She decided to get busy and have a garage sale. I helped with all the set up, and even sold off some clothes that I hadn't worn in years.

She got rid of a ton of her stuff. She did great.

Guys, this is called 'nesting' and it's something women naturally do without realizing it.

My wife does the same and we both just laugh at the absurdity of it.

Absolutely! We have a coffee table in our living room that has a storage compartment that is used for blankets and quilts or what have you. My wife, has it loaded to where it barely closes all the way because of said blankets, quilts and what have you. The issue I have is she buys more blankets, quilts or what have you!! It’s mind boggling how a woman lives with so much shite and has the need for more shite!
Great woman that I love dearly but my god, the need for useless shite is sometimes unbearable

I am a minimalist, so I don't struggle with this. But, there is the law of equilibrium. You will tend to fill a space, if you have it.

Just in the backyard.

The beaches got a little wrecked with Helene and Milton.

To make the house “cozy,” every inch of surface has to be decorated with lamps, candle holders, photos, vases, memorabilia, ceramics, pottery, or coasters. Each bed requires four functional pillows and at least three decorative ones. The ottoman has to have two trays on top that have to be removed to use it as a footrest.

Found my husband'alter. Just kidding. I am a grandma now and that requires a certain level of decor. My kids and nieces say it is cozy. I also have a closet/drawer filling problem and am not a big shopper.

My mom passed two years ago (god bless her) but she had 4 sheds packed to the gills with crap, I wouldn't have given her $5.00 for all of it.

Just junk - I made twelve pickup bed full trips to the junk yard throwing away stuff.

Every closet, drawer, crack, space in the house was the same way.

@@ and my sister is the same way, pack rat.

My wife's primary closet just fell down last night bc of overload.

I'm not going to help her sort that crap.

She has a walk in closet in the bedroom, the whole two-door closet in the guest room, and a whole closet in the hallway, all full of just clothes. Plus all her extra shite in the garage and the attics.

Can we talk about shoes? We aren’t at Emelda Marcos stage, but we are close. Good news is my wife is basically the same size she was in college. The bad news is that every piece of clothing she’s had in the last 30 years still fits and lives somewhere in my house.

Oh yes. I've been dealing with that for 42 years. Her stuff has spilled over into the attic and into a shed I bought for my stuff. With that said, it is a small price to pay for her love and companionship. I way outkicked my coverage with that little lady.

If i open a drawer and can't close it because there's too much shite in it, i slam it and it typically destroys something. She's finally starting to get the hint after I wrecked her stupid bougie tongs

Just be glad your wife is putting things away in a closet or drawer. My wife’s clothes are all over the bedroom floor and she’s been “working on it” for the last 3 months
