I haven’t been single for 15 years now.
But one thing I know remains the same. If a female is 35-40 and has no kids or has never been married, it’s a HIGE red flag and there’s a pretty significant issue with her.

Having a kid after 35 in general is dangerous for the mom. This is based on statistics.
Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.

So what
Some things are worth big risks.

Women can have babies well into their 40's, most of the research claiming the popular 35 year biological clock has been proven just flat out wrong. The entire decade of most woman's 40's is fair game, it obviously gets harder in the later 40's but saying a 39 year old woman is too old is just silly.
Literally none of this is true.

That was 1965. I should've had major problems.
Completely unrelated question: Is that you in your profile pic?

Apparently lots of women either don’t understand biological clocks, or are just liars.
plenty of women have kids in their 40s, and why would you want to waste your younger years having kids and being poor when you are trying to start a career and get ahead?

With technology and our improved health, I think the window is moving a bit. And when I say technology, I don't mean just IVF.
And before anyone tries to acktually me and post stats about our total nation's health, the people we are talking about are incredibly healthy.
Just like how you can't compare an upwardly-mobile urban professional to someone in Youngsville, you can't compare the health/BMI of that population to your average someone from Youngsville

i go to pine cove family camp every year and our first year there we met a guy that was with his three daughters. he was a bit younger than me. he had just lost his wife a few months before.
he was very successful and good looking in his early-mid 30s. also seemed like a great dad. every year he came back and i was surprised he hadn't remarried. i never directly came out and asked, but from our talks, finding a stable woman in her mid 30s that wasn't already divorced and ok with three preteen-teen girls was pretty difficult. wasn't looking for a divorcee either.
he ended up marrying a widow with 3 boys the same age.

You can't compare any individuals to national statistics. There are some fat-arse female lawyers in Manhattan, just like there are some healthy and fit women in Youngsville.

Meh - "a bit", maybe 10%? I know folks are all about denying biological reality over the past 5 to 10 years, but women (i.e. real, biological women) are generally constructed to have children from late teens to mid-30s. Does "a bit" mean, late 30s isn't off the table? Sure. But the Downs risk alone just starts to skyrocket. Everything (literally) starts to slide the wrong way on the scale for having children if the woman is past 35.
Now, once the child is born, past the complications, no Downs, etc., a child of older parents tends to have a better time of things, but that's a different sort of sociological, not biological, analysis.

Yep I had a brother 20 years older than me.

I'm pretty sure one of my bosses was getting sperm frozen before he met his wife.

That illustrates my life with my ex wife. Got tired of that shite after 10 years and pulled the plug.

Probably means she’s open to adoption or marrying into a Brady Bunch scenario.
But she’s almost certainly lying, just trying to get more dating options.

Outside of all the fertility and health issues, how many potential 40-ish men want a baby?
