Hint: it's today. I just saw this commercial.

Christmas trees are already up in the mall around me and the tractor supply had their Christmas decorations and display going up last night
ETA they just moved the start a whole month out of nowhere, no? I don’t have to think back long to remember this practice used to begin Nov 1, not Oct 1. I don’t ever remember it being September when I saw Christmas decorations going up

Sam's Club has had their Xmas decorations out for a couple of weeks now and they were playing the music.

In years past I've seen Christmas merchandise going up at WalMart in late August!

Costco has had theirs up even longer.

The day after Thanksgiving.
Any more questions?

I went to my local Walmart last week to stock up on some pool chemicals, and all that stuff was gone. Replaced by Christmas decorations.

I was in Lowe's week before last and they already had a big display of Christmas decorations for sale.

Yep, same here. One side of the aisle had Halloween stuff, the other side of the aisle had Christmas.

Sam's Club put out the Halloween and Christmas decorations at the same time.

Early in September around Labor Day I went to the local Costco and they already had Halloween decorations up and right past that there were the Christmas things.
One was a HUGE wire framed snowman lit with hundreds of white LED's with different colors for the hat, nose, eyes, etc.

IMO, the 3 big fall holidays should each have their own month to themselves. Especially since all of them happen at the end of the month.
October- fully devloted ot Halloween
November 1st- put up the hay bales and pumpkins and scarecrows and turkeys
December 1st- All about Christmas
What's so wrong with that? In society we keep pointing out how everything is rush rush rush rush all the time and nobody stops to smell the roses and take in their surroundings, then we'll turn around and put up Christmas decor when it's still pushing 100 degrees outside. Everyone just chill!

I was in the Millington TN Wal-Marks the first week of September, the Christmas section was already set up for business.

The other day, for some reason I woke up with the old Coca Cola hippy christmas song on my brain. I am walking around singing it to myself....

Awesome, I was finally gonna take down the Christmas lights this weekend. Guess I'll just get drunk instead.

If your establishment is playing Christmas music in October, I am walking out.

I was just thinking it was too early for Halloween decorations to already be going up in my neighborhood
