On my next flight I'm gonna wear a pair of those Snuggies or Huggies or whatever those shorty shorts with the 4" inseams are called that are the flitty prep white boys wear, just to spite you.

It's probably my favorite phenomenon of the OT.
Yep. If grown men really don't care what other people think then the OT has to be the most feminine site on the planet.

I'm not flying into Cabo in July wearing jeans just because some assclown on the internet is offended by bare calves.

Yep. If the weather is warm I'm wearing shorts. Sometimes the plan gets hot as a mother flipper while waiting on the ground

I don’t think it offends anyone. It just causes people to make certain assumptions about you.

The same way when you see a woman with blue hair and face piercings.

I would rather see a grown man in shorts than see yet another "tell me without telling me" post.

I looked at my short list of things that offend me each time I am in an airport and strangely enough I didn't see grown men wearing shorts. Am I doing this wrong?

I don’t care what other people do and at least it’s not pajamas.

I’m personally never wearing shorts on a plane. 5 inch inseams combined with my quads sticking to the seat aren’t that fun.

Tell me you're annoyed without telling me you're annoyed...

They are called chubbies and I’ve definitely worn them on more than one flight. Hell I might wear them on my next flight in a couple weeks.

The only assumption I make about a person wearing shorts in the airport is that they're going somewhere warm. Why is an airport such hallowed and sacred ground that shorts are a faux pas? I dress for where I'm going, not for the airport.

I've seen enough down votes in this thread to realize that it's a wildly unpopular opinion, and I'll also be down voted to hell, but I'm with the op. Grown men should only wear shorts when swimming, boating, working out, or participating in athletics

Where do you live?

Sounds like something that someone who wears shorts in an airport would say.

But seriously, it’s not about the airport. It’s about in public in general. Some people feel grown men shouldn’t wear shorts in public unless a few circumstances.

Not saying it’s right. Some people think women with odd colored hair shouldn’t be taken seriously or women with tattoos are trashy. Just perceptions of some people.
