What was the name of the game that taunted you if you lost?
"Too bad, space cadet" was one of the taunts.

The old Spaceport in Cortana Mall was the best. Back when it was a narrow, dark and the walls were lined with the best of the 80s arcade games.
shite yea. BR had Alladins Castle by the McDonalds in Bon Marche as well. Loved those arcades.
Also, Top Gunner/Jackal on NES was one of the coolest frickin games.

The Swamp in Southland Mall in Houma was my hangout. I was pretty good at 1942 and Commando.
This was the place. I was pretty good at Crazy Climber, and Alpine Ski.

Sinistar used to scare the crap out of me in a dark arcade "I live!"
"Run coward!"

Do you remember the name? Sounds fun. Thanks

I'm probably a lot younger than most of ya'll but I used to waste a lot of money on Time Crisis 2.
There was an arcade down by the food court in The Crestwood Mall (RIP).
Also, the Pizza Hut off Hampton in South City had Primal Rage, tGOAT arcade game for my money.

At least get a screenshot from the real game not a console version.

That original Super Mario brothers ice stage...
Board 6-3? was hard as frick on arcade...
That jump on 6-3 used to be legend back in the day. The arcade version is quite a bit different. I just recently played through this game on MAME (bless those save states).
Mortal Kombat 2 was my poison back in the early 90's, still love this game to this day!

Hell yeah. Aladin's Castle was great too in Southland Mall.
I remember for a while they had a Donkey Kong game where you could lift up the front panel. Press a wire against the coin slot, and whoop free games. lol

I spent countless hours and quarters at the Fun Arcade on Vets. My grandparents lived two blocks away so every Sunday I was there.
Now, two blocks from my house is the Silverball Museum on the boardwalk in Asbury Park. Pay one price and play all day you used to be able to pay a membership and never pay when you went.
Lots of old pinball machines, 50s, 60s and more recent. Bubble hockey, air hockey, old shooting games, and the standard arcade games, they even have an original Pong game

track n field was great, especially if you got the bird/chicken with the javelin
there was a dude who would use a pocket comb, and when he hit one button, it would push other in, so he could get maximum speed for jumps and high jump

Defender was my game.
Coincidentally to the Rush comment, my high score initials were "YYZ".

Track and field was my favorite. My friend and I mastered the "butter knife" technique to add speed.
Burned many a summer day and countless quarters at the mall arcade! Suburban 80's America... Good times.

Dad had a Centipede machine for a long time. I loved to play it.

Wanna fight?
I will bust your arse and make you cry at defender. But only if it's an original machine because the mame cabinets you see everywhere now don't allow you to reverse and thrust while firing which equals a crippled game.
Btw my initials were WHO and you could find them listed above XYZ.
