Think it's more about meeting small groups at appointed times.

Cruising was awesome. You never knew who you would meet or how the night would go. 3-4 guys in a car, loud music, adult beverages and probably some street pharmaceuticals

Makes me kinda sad that these kids will never know what they're missing.

And I can't help but wonder if had kids nowadays spent their teen years cruising, interacting face to face with their peers, and generally hanging out like we did back then, would they still be a giant collection of pussies, unable to cope with the real world, getting "triggered", and needing "safe spaces"?

Galaga was an awesome game. Was eating lunch in R&O's yesterday and on my way out noticed Galaga. I will be making a return visit

had to let them capture one of your ships, then you could rape in challenge stages.

I spent my early years there before they moved it upstairs and called it Tilt.

I conquered the following games at Tilt:
Area 51
Simpsons
Ninja Turtles
Die Hard

I was ridiculous at Area 51, I could get my streak up pretty high.

I remember when I played centerpede, my hand would get pinched at least 10 times per game while rolling that "ball" to move my spaceship. remember that?

Or the later arcades in the early 90s. I spent boat loads of money on the original Mortal Kombat and X-Men at Aladdin's Castle in the Acadiana Mall in Lafayette.

Kids these days don't know what it was like to play a game and not be able to press "save".

There's a brewery in Houston that has 80s and 90s arcades. They all cost .25

Went there a few years ago. It was like time travel. Loved arcade games in the 80s. Spent more hours playing than I can possibly count. My favorites were:

Pac Man
Ms. Pac Man
Donkey Kong
Joust
Asteroids
Defender
Tempest
Robotron: 2084
Phoenix

My current set up, it's a hyperspin setup. I have pretty much every MAME game to about early 2000s and every NES, SNES, master system, and Genesis game on it. I have a bunch of other system libraries I haven't configure for it yet, don't really need to though. Never get past what I do have to play.
