BRPD needs help

The Advocate

quote:

Baton Rouge Police Chief Murphy Paul on Friday called a recent spike in deadly shootings troubling, said he has deployed more than 40 administrative officers to the streets to increase their patrol presence following 10 homicides in two weeks. "In the past seven days, we've seen a 20 percent increase in shots fired in our city," Paul said Friday at a press conference. "And the 10 homicides that have happened ... this month of November has us concerned.”

quote:

Detectives have made an arrest in only one of the recent killings.

quote:

"Don't give up, don't stop calling," Paul said. "We need family members, loved ones to step forward. If someone has communicated their intent to harm someone, we’re asking you to call us. Give us the opportunity to intervene.” Paul urged the community to stay involved and invested in building a safer city.

What can be done to stop these killings in this fair city?

I was told this was dangerous and racist because this caused more black people to die in the streets

Are there any offending statues that need to be taken down?

If not, then public hangings.

Don't run from helping if this is such a walk in the park for you.

Blame white people.
Form a committee.
Have discussions.
Open grocery stores with fresh produce.
Blame white people.
Hire some thug mentors.
Embezzle some grant money.
Take some vacations on the city card.
Blame white people.

Just take it one step at time, you've got to crawl before you run.

On a serious note. Killings usually go up in the summer, but this killing streak has been these past few days, which has been the coldest days this Fall.

Immediately? Nothing. It will take at least 1-2 generations of rebuilding the nuclear family unit to affect change. So, looks like murder on the books in BR for the next 25'ish years.
